This is the mania! Up and down, up and down. I’ve spent more time than I care to admit staring at ceilings. The second verse is a real dialogue. Doctor really did say “I don’t know what to tell you kid.” To which I repsonded, “Oh...then why am I here?”...”I’ll give you a pill…” he said. That was the last time I saw that doctor. The original arrangement of this tune had the chorus repeat twice. During the recording of the drums and guitar, I ended a couple measures too early to repeat the chorus so we had to come up with a new ending in the studio. I think it worked.
